AERA began with a table. After ten years hauling heavy ones up staircases, through hotel corridors and across beaches, our founder Kensey built the table she wished someone had made for her: light enough to carry without a pep talk, strong enough to trust with every client.
But a better table was never the whole ambition. Caring for other people should not cost you your own body, or leave you to figure out the business side alone. So AERA has two arms.
The table. Made by a therapist, for therapists. It floats, it packs down into a backpack, and it frees you to work almost anywhere. Light, considered, and built for the way you actually move.
The training. The Circle, our twelve-month programme for working therapists: the techniques to elevate your practice, the business knowledge to make it sustainable, and real care for your own body and mind, the things the industry never taught you.

The story
Founder Kensey Monopoli spent 10 years as a traveling massage therapist, working everywhere from private islands to luxury resorts. Every destination meant the same exhausting reality: hauling heavy, outdated tables that weren't built for a mobile lifestyle. She'd strain her back carrying equipment up villa staircases and abandon tables rather than deal with shipping. The industry seemed blind to therapists' wellbeing - but she refused to accept it.
The turning point? Massaging Sir Richard Branson on a paddleboard in the British Virgin Islands. She was creating incredible experiences on the water, yet still wrestling with 1970s equipment on land. That's when AERA was born - not just as an ultra-portable table, but as a complete ecosystem to help therapists build the practice and lifestyle they deserve.
